Donating to Senior Action, Inc.

How can I help financially? 

Senior Action thanks you for considering a financial donation to make a difference in the lives of seniors across the Greenville community.  Senior Action is committed to strengthening our maturing population and their families by providing access to resources they need for physical, emotional and social well-being and your donations are essential to the success of our mission. 

Senior Action relies on a variety of funding sources including federal, state, the United Way of Greenville County, the City of Greenville, a variety of other local funds and grants applied for annually, membership/program fees, and private and corporate donations. Senior Action, Inc. is an IRS- recognized 501(c) (3) non-profit and all private monetary donations are tax-deductible. 

Seniors are the fastest growing segment of the population and Senior Action struggles to meet the needs of our senior community every day. 

  • Senior Action provides over 50,000 hot meals and socialization to seniors at eight part-time sites across the County.
     

  • Provides 290,000 miles of transportation to seniors with no other means of transportation.
     

  • Offers care management and in-home cleaning assistance to those with no where else to turn, who are in danger of losing their independence.
     

  • Volunteer opportunities for seniors to continue meaningful community involvement and stay active.
     

  • Supports over 2000 seniors in the Greenville community with affordable health and wellness opportunities, informational lectures, health screenings, educational opportunities and a socialization outlet to offset possible depression and loneliness that seniors too often face.

Donation Options

You can make a General Donation
Make a tax-deductible donation in your own name to support the work of Senior Action, Inc.  Note:  Your name will be designated in our quarterly newsletter publication and/or our annual report, please indicate if you do not want your name listed in the publication.

Make a Donation In Memory
Make a donation in memory of a deceased family member or friend. A personalized letter will be sent to the bereaved family.

In Honor of a Special Person or Organization
Make a donation in honor of someone who inspired you, or in celebration of a birthday, wedding, or other special occasion. A personalized card will be sent to the recipient informing them of your gift.

Matching Gifts
Many companies offer matching gift programs that compound employee charitable contributions. Check the online directory of matching gift companies to find out if your company will match your gift, or ask your Human Resources. If they do match, be sure to follow your organization's matching gift process.

Gifts of Securities
Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock via a direct transfer. Giving publicly traded stock that has increased in value may provide greater tax benefits than giving cash.  Please contact your broker for further details and contact senioraction@senioraction.org if you are considering this option.

Remember Senior Action in your Will
Please contact senioraction@senioraction.org or 864-467-3660 if you have generously left Senior Action in your Will or are considering this option.
