Nutrition Site Transportation Program

This program provides daily transportation to and from the eight Senior Action Satellite Sites located throughout the Greenville community.  There is no charge for transportation, but arrangements must be made through the Director of Support Services or the nutrition sites.  Participants must live within 5 miles of the Senior Action Nutrition Site. 

Medical Transportation

Our Medical Transportation program is a Senior Action Program with volunteer drivers assisting those with no other means of transportation to non-emergency medical appointments.  Unfortunately this is a limited program due to lack of funding and limited number of volunteer drivers available.  Seniors are limited to twice a month assistance with medical transportation and our program is unable to provide assistance to individuals needing frequent appointments such as chemotherapy.   

To be eligible individuals must be at least 60 years of age, live in the Greenville County or City limits, have no other means of transportation and not living with someone who could transport the, and must not have Medicaid, which has it’s own transportation program available.

Grocery Shopping and Additional Outing

Group transportation to local grocery stores will be provided in conjunction with the Senior Action Satellite Sites.  For details on this upcoming additional program please contact the Director of Support Services at 864-467-3660.
